THUNDER MALE

Never disappointing Jonathan Christopher kicks off his show with a strange setting. The mood is created with visuals of an industrial mine field with machine hammers and burning fires. Dark sounds flow through the speakers. Is he warning us for an upcoming thunderstorm?

The catwalk filled up with men that looked like they were strangled or blinded and mistreated, this showed by the grey marks they had round their necks and eyes. Ripped and unfinished stiff, hard materials cloak the men in wide big silhouettes. Red, black, and dark blue are the central colours and give a feeling of power and masculinity. The models looked forceful. But at the same time it looked like they had suppressed their feelings for a long period. The dark make-up on their neck and eyes was applied as if they had been detained for times.
The show was a bit mysterious and dark. In our opinion this show is about the fact that men may express their feelings even if they are dark or sad. In today’s society we mainly show our happiness to the outside world. When was the last time a man told you how bad he felt? Men should show their inner turmoil., because sometimes they just need to blow off some steam.
