C'EST VRAI OU C'EST FAUX

Is it real or it is fake? Today the latest collection of Maison the FAUX was presented in a special way. The front stage and backstage were turned, so the models changed their clothes right in front of the audience. This resulted in a complete chaos on the ‘catwalk’.

Numerous colours, a diversity of fabrics, fur, silk, shawls and water shoe-like mules. The varying outfits were worn by male and female models and also suitable for both. A pink fur coat and a mini-skirt for men, that’s not weird, is it? The collection was clearly based on the blurring between masculinity and femininity in our society.

The show was over the top and was a surprising switch in comparison with the other shows at MBFWA. The show was not a usual catwalk show, it was more like a guerrilla-action because of the chaos. That fits in the range of ideas of Maison the FAUX, that’s representing the fictional house. A ‘house’ in which they are against the established order in the fashion system.

C’est Vrai ou C’est FAUX? To answer this question after we’ve seen the show, we have to mention there is no real and no fake. Everything is possible and we don’t have to restrict ourselves by the traditional system and defined limits.
