SPREADING LOVE INTO THE UNIVERSE

Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are! Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky. When we entered The Gashouder the music and ambiance took us into space. It seemed like we were floating in the universe while we looked down on earth. During the entire show the earth was at the heart of the catwalk, with a clear message: LOVE.

Love is one of the most important values; it’s a need that is only known on our planet. At least that’s what we know. It seems like Spijkers and Spijkers wanted to bring love to a next level. This was shown into the arrows on the clothes (they were being mostly up), but also the light and airy designs. Some of the garments were printed with planets and universe-like shapes and some pieces were full of sparkles. It was like a journey through space and different planets.

What if we can bring one of our most pure feelings to the universe? What if we can spread our human feelings into space? If love is floating through space it can be more sizable, more accepted and felt even more. The whole atmosphere gets a more positive vibe. Our universe is a complicated system, unknown and infinite. Just like our ideas about love, having a lover or not having someone to love.

One thing is clear: We have to be satisfied with what we have and spread love through our environment. Nothing is impossible and, as Spijkers and Spijkers say: “… nothing is stronger than the laws of the Universe, but on Earth, nothing is stronger than LOVE.”
