A balance between structure and playfulness seems like an impossible situation. But today it was proven again. Nothing is impossible. Today’s collection No. 3 Formania designed by Liselore Frowijn brought us some order in a fancy way. It was like classical structure in a modern twist.

The collection of Liselore Frowijn is inspired by the desires of the lost-generation, the younger generation who lost structure and harmony because of their always-busy-lifestyle. Let’s be honest do we still know structure and harmony? Or is this something only the older generations knew? With a critical eye on our society, it turned out that fixed patterns and routines are lost. Our lost-generation is longing for a modern way of structure, in which work, study and leisure time can be combined in the right way.

In the collection of Liselore Frowijn we saw this contemporary reality and the need of this lost-generation. In the collection we saw recurring elements, such as vertical and horizontal stripes and diverse geometric shapes. Although the geometric shapes the fabrics were loose and transparent, the catwalk-show was structured, yet quirky. The models were diverse, yet compact. Let’s say it was a collection full of contrasts. The contrasts came together when the models ended in a tableau vivant.

Please pay attention lost-generation; we don’t need to escape from the hectic of everyday life. Add pleasure to structure and be surprised. Because when you manage to combine chaos with geometry, then you can say everything is under control. Or at least it seems like.
