AN ADVENTUROUS DREAM

Boys will be boys; even tough they realize that they should make some serious steps to become successful, they want to stay in their young rashly dream world. Compromising dreams with reality can be very frustrating and it’s an actual matter in the current youth generation.

Yesterday the catwalk show Little wild illusion was shown by Evan Menswear. It was like the models were on an adventure to create their own mix of dreams and reality. While the models travelled trough time they were on a quest to conquer their dreams and achieve their goals. The first step you have to make when you want to achieve something in life is to step out of your comfort zone and start an adventure. This is what appeared in the collection of Evan Menswear due to the practical aspects. We saw some though elements, like plastic raincoats, big jackets with a lot of pockets and earthy colours. But the hearty winter materials were interposed by soft silky pink and velvet, sparkled hair and silver masks. It was like a split between dreams and reality. The beautiful thing was that the models were twins, so while they travelled trough time one lived in reality and the other one in a dream. It was like and adventurous dream, a journey to success.

The collection was a mix of realism en surrealism or dreams and reality. Aimed at boys on their way to manhood, for the young entrepreneurs who are preying on success. Are they going to lose their youthfulness or will they find some kind of balance in their mix between their dreams and reality? So they can drown in their dreams with both feet on the ground.
